A question on natural selection
by The Rebel inlast friday my boy of ten was very late back from school, so i called the school, they called the police, and to cut a long horrible exsperience short he had been helping a younger boy fly his kite.. but what has occurred to me is that when orlando was 5 years old he was totally dependent on mummy and daddy, whilst horses, cats, birds and other animals are born and are independent within days.. so my question on natural selection is, how are we humuns still here?.

DA: Today I used my typewriter and fountain pen
by Mandrake inlast week my mother (i live with her) gave me some clues that she finally awoke, and well, that came to be true and we now speak openly against many many things i considered taboo to talk to her.
so with that achieved, it was time for a delayed duty, i took my typewriter one wrote my da letter, and signed it with my favorite fountain pen, with my "trade mark" royal blue ink (everyone in the hall knew me for using that color and type of pen).
i will hand it to the elders tomorrow, in february 14th, the "day of love".

Its good you see it that way because either way they only announce, "Mandrake is no longer one of Jehofa's Witnoids." No one knows if you DA'd or were DF'd so the rumor mill will not be stopped. Peace of mind is nice, though all the gossip will be fueled even more. -

Assemblies - Before and After Waking Up
by Funchback inhappy friday to all!.
i haven't been to a meeting for maybe 10 years.
i only know what's happening nowadays from the experiences i read here or the internet in general.. anyway, on to the topic: i started attending meetings at the age of 7. as a kid, the only thing i looked forward to at the assemblies (circuit/district) was walking around veteran's stadium (philadelphia district convention) during intermission, hanging with friends, looking at girls (as i got a little older) and trying to have enough tickets to get pizza!.

I go back to the days when the district convention was held outdoors at fairgrounds and the like. The most fun at them was working in the kitchen as a preteen, wearing the tall aprons and paper hats in the kitchen as a go-fer. We played as much as we worked and didn't have to listen to the drivel much. Those HUGE pots with food cooking in them were impressive. There were tables, to eat at standing up, that were miles long it seems. This was in Monterey California in the 60's. Witnesses came from all over in their campers and such. A strange but sincere lot they were. That was when they were really students of WT crap. After waking up? Couldn't stomach the BS and stopped attending immediately. -

Disfellowshipped for celebrating Xmas?
by Theburstbubble ini could really do with some advice on what's acceptable when you leave.
we have left of our own accord about 6 months ago.
we didn't celebrate xmas this year but have just celebrated my daughters birthday.. a friend of mine who is still a witness told me that an elder had approached her and asked if we had celebrated xmas and that if we did it was a df offence as is classed as apostasy!

That's their goal, "cut you out" officially. If you are inactive the remaining members can still talk to you. If you are DF"d then they are banned and your influence is nil. So long as a witness knows who you are and they still refer to you as "inactive" you are still under the auspices of the local congregation from their perspective. When enough time passes that no one knows you were a witness or member of the local congregation you will be OK. It could be years. That's why many ex witnesses move so as to get out from the radar. It sucks I know. You might have to bite the bullet and tell them to drop dead. -

You too can give up your personal regimen to become soulless and a yes man for the elite who judge your every move. This idiot should have gone to the movies and gotten a girlfriend. Screw the monk's life. What a dolt. Deeper and deeper into the quagmire! Hey, if you are thinking about this as a life option? Get laid. -

My boyfriend is thinking of becoming reinstated
by gypsyvine ini'm not really sure where to post this.. i've been with my boyfriend for 4 months now and i've really never been happier.
i was brought up in the church of christ with an elder father and i really believe in my religion, although i will admit to being a lousy christian at times due to sheer laziness (not wanting to get out of bed on sunday).
my boyfriend essentially lives with me.

It sounds as if he likes to play false with people. Why should you think he'll be any different with you? Think clearly. Keep playing house without a commitment or find someone willing to commit and live your life honestly. If you like it the way it is I guess its your life. Enjoy the drama!
